I am proud to call Bogue my lifelong home. In fact, four generations of my family live here today, and I can’t imagine being anywhere else. I graduated from White Oak Christian Academy right here in Bogue, and since 1995 I’ve been serving our community as a registered nurse at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City. For the past year and a half, I have also had the privilege of serving on the Bogue Town Council, where I have worked to represent our community with commitment, integrity, and a focus on our residents. Caring for others has always been at the center of my life, and that same commitment is what drives me to continue serving on the Town Council.
Preserve Bogue’s small town character and values.
Keep taxes low, maintaining Bogue’s position as the most affordable town in Carteret County.
Enhance quality of life for our residents, including supporting the exciting future development of a town park on land generously allocated by the Conservation Fund.
I will work to preserve Bogue’s small-town feel by ensuring growth supports, not overshadows, the qualities that make our community unique.
I will support thoughtful local business growth, welcoming small businesses that provide valuable services for residents while maintaining the town’s identity.
I will listen to our residents and make thoughtful, well-informed decisions guided by their input.
Over the years, I’ve seen Bogue experience significant growth and change. Even as new development has come, what has remained constant is the small-town feel that makes our community unique. The solitude, peace, and neighborliness found here set Bogue apart from many other towns in Carteret County. I believe these qualities are worth protecting, not just for us, but for the generations to come.
It would be an understatement to say that I love this town. Bogue is not just where I live—it’s where my roots run deep, where I’ve raised my family, and where I hope to continue giving back. I am committed to serving with honesty, accountability, and a heart for the community we all cherish.

As a hairstylist, I have the privilege of meeting and interacting with many people every day. My work requires me to listen closely, understand individual needs, and find solutions that meet those requests. Through these conversations, I hear a wide range of perspectives on issues that matter to our community. This daily practice has trained me to keep an open mind, consider alternatives, and value input from others.
Additionally, my experience as a farmer gave me firsthand knowledge of the sweat equity, financial investment, and resilience required when the future feels uncertain. I understand the importance of having strong foundations and protections in place for small business owners and workers alike.
1. Transparency & Accessibility – Make monthly town hall meetings available to all citizens through recorded live streams, ensuring everyone can stay informed and engaged.
2. Infrastructure Improvements – Develop a clear plan to strengthen and maintain the town’s infrastructure for the benefit of our residents.
3. Support for Small Businesses & Citizens – Reduce unnecessary barriers and red tape so small businesses and families can firmly plant their roots, grow, and enjoy life in Bogue.
Once elected, I will present a plan to the council for recording and live stream of our town hall and planning board meetings. This will ensure that all residents—regardless of in person attendance—have access to the decisions being made on their behalf. Transparency and accessibility are essential to building trust and engagement in our community.
The great majority of my work has been service-based, giving me firsthand knowledge of the dedication it takes to build a business from the ground up—long hours, loyal clients, and the constant challenges of growth. I also understand the realities of living in a small town, where communication can fall short and priorities do not always reflect the needs of the whole community. These experiences—listening, problem-solving, building businesses, and persevering through uncertainty—have shaped me into someone ready to represent Bogue with honesty, practicality, fairness, and compassion.
