Federal and State policies should be followed within constitutional and judicial boundaries to avoid expensive court litigation. Policies should be followed and implemented to best integrated with local resources and districts policies.
School and student safety is a priority and should be addressed with programs that coordinate potential threats with local law enforcement . A second issue is student test scores. I will implement an aggressive review of: current teaching curriculums, every teacher qualifications and teaching style. Most important is the board's full ownership of the problem, goals and monthly monitoring of progress. A third issue is the deferred maintenance of buildings serving students. I would address the deferred maintenance issue by searching for funding outside the current taxpayer tax rate.
