I understand how local government works and the issues at the Port of Umpqua.
I will work with the Port of Umpqua Commissioners to help build a strong future for the Port of Umpqua and the local community.
The Port of Umpqua has the potential to bring additional businesses into the local community. The area is already considered a recreational area due to the proximity of the the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, the Umpqua and Smith Rivers, and the beautiful beaches and location to the Pacific Ocean. With that in mind, there is always room to improve upon recreational interests and uses.
