A voice for people who depend on public transit

I'm one of the 1 in 10 Americans who never or rarely drive a car. My husband does not drive either, and with a child in kindergarten, we are a family that depends on public transit. I'm excited to bring my experience as a long-time user of public transportation to my role as a board member.
Medford enjoys the most coverage, and Ashland is improving, but smaller and more remote communities are under-served. Given the uncertainty in the current federal environment, it will be important for RVTD to prioritize fiscal caution with growth aimed at the areas that will be most impacted by change.
Maintain transparent and well organized structures for creating and sharing transcripts and agendas as well as using a wide variety of channels to communicate with the public. RVTD does a great job of being present and visible to the community, and should continue in that spirit.
