As a current school board member, I bring a strong blend of leadership, decision-making, and communication skills. My experience includes working collaboratively with educators, parents, and community members to develop policies that improve student outcomes and foster a positive learning environment. I have a deep understanding of budgeting, strategic planning, and the challenges faced by both students and teachers. Additionally, I am committed to ensuring transparency, accountability, and equity in education, striving to meet the diverse needs of our student population.
I understand that the District has a fundamental obligation to comply with all applicable federal and state education laws and policies. This includes ensuring that our practices support equity, access, accountability, and the overall well-being of all students. I also recognize the Board’s responsibility to provide oversight, set policy, and support district leadership in fulfilling these obligations with integrity and transparency.
I believe addressing the most urgent issues facing our District—such as funding, accountability, and career readiness—requires a strategic and collaborative approach. I would work to ensure that our schools are equitably and adequately funded, that we maintain transparency and high standards in how we measure success, and that we expand pathways for students beyond graduation—whether that means college, career, or vocational opportunities. My role is to advocate for policies and partnerships that support long-term success for all students, while holding the District accountable to the community we serve.
