Randy Connor brings more than 40 years of professional experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, where he worked in corporate sales and management roles. This background required strategic planning, financial responsibility, negotiation, and leadership—skills that translate directly to municipal governance and responsible oversight of city resources. His career required working with complex projects, budgets, and stakeholder relationships, providing valuable experience for managing growth and infrastructure challenges in a rapidly expanding city like Fulshear.
Economic development in Fulshear should focus on supporting our local businesses while attracting the kinds of restaurants, services, and employers our growing community needs. As a councilman, I will work to ensure the city maintains business-friendly policies, and strong partnerships with local business organizations. I also support investing in infrastructure—roads, utilities, and water capacity—so businesses can grow with confidence. My goal is balanced growth that strengthens our tax base, creates local jobs, and allows residents to live, work, and shop right here in Fulshear.
The top priorities for Fulshear should be infrastructure, public safety, responsible growth, and city responsiveness. As our city grows rapidly, we must invest in roads, water systems, and drainage so infrastructure keeps pace with development. I will also support ensuring our police and emergency services have the staffing and resources they need to keep our community safe. Finally, I will work to promote balanced zoning and transparent communication so residents and businesses feel heard and confident in how the city is growing.
Rapid growth in Fulshear brings opportunities, but it also creates challenges with infrastructure, traffic, and maintaining the small-town character residents value. My priority is to ensure our roads, water systems, and public safety services keep pace with development so growth does not outstrip our ability to serve residents. I support responsible, balanced zoning that encourages quality commercial development while protecting neighborhoods. As a councilman, I will focus on smart planning, strong infrastructure investment, and listening closely to residents so Fulshear grows in a way that benefits the entire community.
My motivation to serve on the Fulshear City Council comes from a desire to protect the quality of life that makes our community special. As our city grows rapidly, I believe we need practical leadership that listens to residents and focuses on smart planning, strong infrastructure, and public safety. I've already been involved many local issues.
My vision for Fulshear over the next 5–10 years is a city that grows responsibly while preserving the strong sense of community that drew so many of us here. I want to see infrastructure, roads, and utilities keep pace with development so residents enjoy a high quality of life. We should attract quality restaurants, shops, and services.
I believe good representation starts with being accessible and listening to residents. I plan to hold regular community meet-and-greet events, attend neighborhood meetings, and encourage residents to contact me directly with concerns or ideas. I will also use email updates and social media to keep residents informed about City Council decisions that affect our community. Most importantly, I will make sure residents know their voices are heard and represented at City Hall.
I have spent years actively serving and connecting with people here in Fulshear. I currently serve on the City’s Economic Development Corporation, where I work with others to support local businesses and strengthen our community. Professionally, I bring over a decade of project management experience solving problems and bringing people together to find practical solutions. As a small business owner and a neighbor in this community, I speak with residents and business owners often. What truly qualifies me is my willingness to listen, my love for Fulshear, and my commitment to represent the voices and everyday concerns of District 5.
Supporting local businesses begins with listening and creating the right environment for them to succeed. Through my service on the City’s Economic Development Corporation, I have been part of conversations focused on strengthening our local economy and supporting business retention and attraction. As a member of the Fulshear Regional Chamber for Commerce and through my Beats of Fulshear platform, I regularly connect with and highlight local businesses. On council, I will support responsible development, explore programs such as small business grants and partnerships to help small businesses.
Public safety should remain a top priority as Fulshear continues to grow. Ensuring our police and fire departments have the staffing, equipment, and support they need helps keep families & neighborhoods safe. Traffic and road safety are also major concerns for many residents. I have already worked with Councilwoman Sarah Johnson to help initiate conversations with city staff about traffic violations along residential roads, & I will continue supporting solutions that improve safety and mobility. City communication can also improve. Residents should clearly know who to contact when issues arise. Expanding outreach through social media and awareness campaigns can help keep residents informed
Rapid growth brings both opportunity and real challenges for Fulshear. Traffic, infrastructure, and public safety are concerns many residents talk about often. In a recent meeting I had with the Fulshear Police Department, it became clear that rapid growth is already creating additional demands on resources, something many residents already feel in their daily lives. Situations like the apartment development along FM 359 also raised questions in the community about planning and zoning decisions. As a council member, I will support responsible growth through thoughtful planning and smart zoning so development is balanced with infrastructure, safety, & the quality of life that makes Fulshear
What motivates me most are the conversations I have with neighbors. Over time, many have encouraged me to step up and serve because of the work I already do in the community bringing people together and supporting local businesses. I care deeply about Fulshear and want to help ensure our city continues to be a great place for families.
My vision is for Fulshear to plan wisely while preserving the strong sense of community that makes this city special. That means prioritizing public safety, supporting local businesses, and making thoughtful decisions about development so our infrastructure, neighborhoods, and quality of life remain strong for years to come.
Engaging residents starts with being present and accessible. I enjoy talking with neighbors and listening to their concerns, whether at community events or everyday conversations around our neighborhoods. As a council member, I would continue holding regular community meetups and staying active on social media to share updates about city matters. I also believe in keeping communication open between residents, city staff, and council so people clearly understand what is happening and how decisions affect them. When residents feel heard & informed, we build a stronger & more connected community
