Judges who serve under the Non-Partisan Court Plan do not run against challengers and are prohibited by the Code of Judicial Conduct from campaigning for retention.To help voters gain insight as to performance of judges seeking retention this year, the Judicial Performance Review Committee has reviewed the performance of each nonpartisan judge appearing on this year s general election ballot.Voters will be asked to vote yes or no to retain each judge.Hon. Kirsten Poppen was appointed as associate circuit judge in 2023. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law. After graduation, she clerked for Hon. G.
