Judges who serve under the Non-Partisan Court Plan do not run against challengers and are prohibited by the Code of Judicial Conduct from campaigning for retention.To help voters gain insight as to performance of judges seeking retention this year, the Judicial Performance Review Committee has reviewed the performance of each nonpartisan judge appearing on this year s general election ballot.Voters will be asked to vote yes or no to retain each judge.Hon. Dan Wichmer was appointed as a circuit judge in Jan. 2023. He previously served as a city attorney for the cities of Springfield and Branson, and as executive director for Legal Services of Southern Missouri. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Truman State University and his J.D. from the University of Missouri. After graduating, he served as a law clerk to Hon. John C.
