Springfied Public Schools, Missouri State University, University of Arkansas
I ran for office after spending years working at a federally qualified health center helping to connect people with medical, dental, and behavioral health services. During these years, I assisted Springfield families with housing, transportation, food insecurity, employment, and safety from domestic violence. I ran for office to bring the voices of these families to the Capitol and to ensure access to healthcare, good paying jobs, and strong public schools for all Missourians.
I have had the pleasure of serving as State Representative of House District 135 for four years. During that time, I have worked across the aisle to pass good legislation that meets the needs of our constituents, including healthcare, education and economic policy. When a piece of legislation is too extreme or if it is in contradiction to what the people of House District 135 want, I do what I can to fight against it.
I bring a love of Springfield, of Missouri, and our country to this office. I prioritize the needs of my constituents above all else, and work hard to understand their needs by knocking my constituents' doors, hosting town halls, and doing what I can to be accessible to the people I serve. I have a passion for healthcare, education and workforce development policy and enjoy representing a district of diverse political beliefs.
I have had the pleasure of serving as State Representative for four years and use my platform to be as engaged as possible in my district, attending neighborhood association meetings, touring non-profits, and meeting as many families as possible. I also have the pleasure of working at the United Way of the Ozarks, assisting working families to find pathways out of poverty. Over the last few years, I have also enjoyed serving on numerous non-profit boards, was voted 2024's "Captain Springfied" and selected as Springfield Business Journal's 12 People You Should Know and one of 2023's Most Influential Women. Home is where the heart is, and I am glad mine is Springfield, MO.

I am concerned about our jobs and economy here in Missouri, I want to generate economic prosperity through policies that foster business growth and provide abundant opportunities. Positioning Missouri as the premier location for emerging, expanding, and successful businesses
We must ensure that law enforcement and first responders receive top-level training and equipment. We must address crime at the local level in Missouri to help mitigate the effects of the border crisis
We must prioritize recruiting and retaining top-tier educators in all Missouri schools. We should want Missouri to be the benchmark for public education nationwide, and make significant strategic investments in our schools.
As a foster child of 14 years, my self I want to take measures that cut through the over bureaucratic processes of Missouri's adoption system. I want to help the of over 1,500 children here find loving and stable homes. Also work on the foster care system so it works for the kids.
In addressing our current issues, my approach is straightforward. I am committed to working in the best interest of the people, striving to unite across party lines to ensure that all voices are heard and that the issues affecting all of us are effectively addressed. While there are certainly partisan issues, the majority of matters impacting Missourians and the average person are nonpartisan. Drawing from my experience in sales marketing, the military, education and community outreach, I am confident that I can effectively address this challenges head on.
Given my sales background, military experience, education, and years of community outreach and work, I possess the necessary skills to work effectively with diverse groups. I am committed to ensuring that only legislation that benefits the people of Missouri advances to the governor's desk. These experiences have uniquely prepared me to collaborate with representatives from across our state and both sides of the political spectrum to enact legislation that truly serves the best interests of our fellow citizens.
Throughout the years, I have been dedicated to serving as a proactive grassroots community leader. My involvement in my children's schools and commitment to enhancing the educational system in Springfield has been unwavering. I am an active volunteer for Springfield Public Schools and have been a volunteer coach/ assistant coach for SPARC and Boys and Girls club. I have volunteered for many local candidates campaigns through the years and have spoke at city council and school board meetings about issues concerning the community.
