I’m passionate about fully funding public schools and raising teacher salaries because our children’s future depends on a strong education system. When we invest in our teachers, we reduce turnover and ensure that students are learning in a stable environment. Public money should remain in public education to benefit the most people—our families, communities, and future generations. I also believe in the right to make personal healthcare decisions without government interference. Women and families deserve privacy to make the best choices for themselves. Additionally, I’m committed to protecting our democratic process. The initiative petition process has empowered Missourians for over a century, giving everyone a voice in our government. Any attempt to weaken this process silences the majority and undermines true democracy. Equal representation is the cornerstone of a free society, and I’ll always fight to protect it.
My approach is simple: we need to get back to the basics of good governance—communication, dialogue, debate, and compromise. The recent Missouri legislative session was the least productive in memory, and that’s unacceptable. The way forward is through open debate on the issues that matter most to Missourians, where facts are laid out and differences are discussed with respect. Politics is the art of compromise, and right now, a small minority is holding our state back from making real progress. It’s time for all parties to work together, set aside the divisive rhetoric, and focus on what’s best for the people of Missouri. By fostering a culture of collaboration and consensus, we can move Missouri forward and address the challenges that impact us all.
I bring a lifetime of public service and a deep commitment to democratic principles. With nine terms on the Slater City Council and leadership as past president of the Missouri Municipal League, I’ve gained the experience to craft practical, nonpartisan solutions that benefit all Missourians. Running my own business taught me the value of efficiency, smart investments, and the discipline needed to succeed in any endeavor. In Jefferson City, you can count on me to be a strong advocate for liberty, justice, and responsible governance, working for everyone in the 29th District.
Community service is a cornerstone of my life, deeply rooted in faith and family. I’ve led in the Lion’s Club, Rotary, and Optimists, and served nine terms on the Slater City Council. My love for history led me to edit "History of Slater Missouri" and co-chair projects like "The Wall That Heals" and Slater’s 150-year celebration. As a Silver Life Member of the NAACP, I’ve championed justice and equality. I’m also a proud dad, grandfather, and great-granddad, committed to my family, church, and community. My service includes the Youth Center Board and Red Cross blood drives.
