The Senate is comprised of 40 members, with each Senator elected to represent a district of approximately 159,000 people and each elected for a two-year term. As required by the Massachusetts Constitution, the Senate meets year-round in either formal or informal sessions to consider legislation. The Massachusetts Senate is led by the President of the Senate who is elected by the members of the body at the beginning of each two-year legislative session. Base salary for each Senator is approximately $66,256.

I have filed the Environmental Justice Trust Fund along side AG Andrea Campbell and Rep. Brandy Fluker-Oakley. I also filed the Zero Carbon Renovation Trust as well. I was able to amend in our Climate bill to make sure the use of Wood burning to be incentivized as a renewable energy.
Yes, that is why I supported the Housing Bond Bill. We need more affordable housing and also protections for tenants and I was able to adopt a foreclosure pilot program to show the I importance on giving struggling homes owners opportunities and avenues to stay in their homes and communities.
I led the Driving Families Forward Coalition where we were able to pass license for all in the commonwealth of Massachusetts.
We are working with organizations and finding ways to support the RTA in our district which is receiving over 30 million dollars to sustain our routes and commitment to public transportation. With organizations we are trying to explore the avenue to offer free transportation to everyone within my district.
