Yes. We need to encourage voter turnout in every election. And I support the resources that would be needed.
The most important is to expand our leadership in offshore wind. Next would be to improve public transportation to deal with our gridlocked roads. And we need to make energy saving changes like solar and heat pumps affordable for both homes and larger buildings.
I am responsible for a new homeless facility in Attleboro with 18 crisis beds and 22 permanent supported housing units, I am working on a housing project for low and middle income seniors. I have filed legislation to protect tenants in manufactured housing parks, and I have filed legislation to limit hedge fund purchases of single family homes.
Congress failed to pass bipartisan legislation that would manage and fund immigration. Homeless families are particularly vulnerable so I support the expansion of resources to help all families.
I have successfully lobbied MBTA to re-open the South Attleboro Commuter Rail Station. Now RIPTA, GATRA, and MBTA meet at the same location allowing people from across the region to commute without using their cars. That, combined with electric locomotives in 2024 and taking cars off a gridlocked I-95 will reduce pollution. It will also allow people to live where they can afford and work where the good paying jobs are.
