Do you support election day voter registration? Why or why not?
What actions should the legislature take to address the climate emergency?
What should the legislature do to increase the supply of affordable and middle-market housing in Massachusetts?

Absolutely! I have fought for this in the election reform law passed in 2022 although we were ultimately unsuccessful. In an ever more mobile world, election day voter registration allows people to avoid disenfranchisement on election day simply because they changed addresses recently.
The legislature has, over my tenure, passed two climate bills and we are looking forward to passing a third soon. I have learned that in passing climate legislation, we also have to stay on top of implementation and continuously go back to make adjustments as the world changes. I look forward to continuing to focus on environmental justice, grid modernization, improving air quality, and transitioning (quickly) to a fossil fuel-free future.
We need to invest in building more affordable housing in all areas of the state while also encouraging more out-of-the-box development like ADUs and tiny houses. We also have to address the pending insurance crisis and help homeowners stay in their homes by providing money to retrofit and fix our aging housing stock. We must also offer some sort of controls on rents, particularly those charged by large corporations that continue to buy up housing and push up prices.
Immigrants are our future. Massachusetts' population continues to grow only when there are immigrants and population decline could lead to a serious downward spiral for our state. We have seen that when immigrants are given a hand, they become homeowners, business owners, and raise their families in Massachusetts. I support providing shelter and legal services to help immigrants arriving in Massachusetts as well as access to state benefits because those initial investments have huge dividends for our communities.
Massachusetts needs to be better connected. There is no excuse that it is so difficult to get from one end of the state to another and that bus and bike services are so limited. We definitely need federal partners to step up and help but we need to make sustained investments in rail and fully support our RTAs.
