Education is the basis of a strong democracy. Public schools must be fully funded and teachers well paid. Rural economic development is crucial to the survival of our communities. It can address the high rate of poverty we suffer from. It is imperative that we find ways to support rural hospitals so that they can survive and provide health care to all.
Rural economic development is a top priority. I will make sure that my staff communicates with local stakeholders about funding opportunities. A second priority is the survival of rural hospitals. I will work to seek out ways to help fund them.
