The Dane County Treasurer’s Office budget has been very stable in maintaining the non-personnel operating costs in providing services, has increased available funds for countywide services, and anticipates continuing with minimal changes in budgetary needs for Treasurer services going forward.

In numbers, throughout my 12 years as Treasurer, the office budget has only seen an increase of $100,000 in expenditures (less than 1% per year). I am also pleased to have brought in an additional $8 million since 2022 by increasing investment income and an additional $11 million since 2012 by working with property owners in decreasing property tax delinquencies. I intend to maintain this path of providing the best for Dane County residents.
I am energized working with homeowners and seeing them get caught up on delinquent property taxes. Helping taxpayers who are truly struggling is one priority I will carry forward into the future.

Another priority I look forward to is continuing participation in educational outreach opportunities. For example, the youth at the Lussier Community Education Center expressed their enjoyment in an after-school financial literacy activity that I was invited to lead. Another example is the Madison Homeownership Resources Fair at the Urban League of Greater Madison Black Business Hub, where I and Madison professionals present the basics of property taxes to homeowners. I look forward to these and similar educational events across the county.
