I would work to ensure that the power of the purse is returned to Congress and work towards having a balanced budget.
Instead of spending money on endless wars and trade wars I propose spending that money on our healthcare system to make it more affordable while also ensuring that communities and home healthcare receive adequate funding so they can afford to pay staff. If executed properly it would be more cost efficient, especially for home health. Because patients would receive better care at home which means less hospital visits and in turn reduced cost and strain on the system.
For the past decade it has become evident that there’s a disconnect between the people and elected officials. I would have an open communication policy.
Congress should work to ensure that the power of the purse is returned to them as described in Article I of the Constitution, and work towards having a balanced budget.
