Medicaid Expansion will be a game changer in SC. It will allow a large number of citizens to have quality, affordable healthcare. I have filed a bill for several years that would require SC to expand Medicaid.
First of all, to make suer that we have a strong education system in SC. That will be important as we strive to attract economic development projects. We have to be competitive with other states to when it comes to attracting businesses and industries to our state. We ned to do all that we can to help recruit and retain jobs that pay good wages and offer good benefits.
We have to first accept the fact that global warming is real. WE need to work very closely with our conservation communities and organizations to make sure that we do the necessary things to slow the effects of global warming. Smart energy initiatives will also be helpful and we have to more fully embrace concepts such as electric vehicles, recycling and waste management t, to name a few.
School officials, particularly librarians should determine what books are available in our school and public libraries. Different stakeholders can have input but the final decision should be made by librarians.
