Slogan Montclair Good Government Team
My main focus as a Council Member would be to enhance information accessibility, improve public communication, & establish effective governance practices for Town Hall operations & Council meetings. Reintroducing Ward Meetings to be hosted quarterly; with the Ward Councilor, at-large Councilor(s), and/or Mayor, with a maximum of 3 Councilors in attendance. This initiative aims to provide more opportunities for the public to express concerns & for Councilors to address them prior to the scheduled Council meeting. Concerns raised at these meetings will be shared with other Councilors & Town Manager to bring clarity to various issues. This effort will be complemented by collaborating with residents on traffic pedestrian safety & development.
I would ask for a comprehensive report on all legal matters concerning the township, including a breakdown of the costs incurred for each case thus far, before any decisions are made. Additionally, I propose a roundtable discussion involving all Councilors, the Mayor, the Township Manager, and the Attorney to thoroughly evaluate the objectives of each case and devise a strategy to prevent similar issues in the future.
