Term 4-years
Term Expires Jan 5, 20
First priority will be continued progress in providing housing and supportive services regionawide; 2nd priority is to improve transit in the region (create a transit vision) and reduce GHG emissions; 3rd is to continue work to expand our open space and trails
Fully inadequate...Metro cannot leave the process to a simple project list and must take more A MORE ACTIVE leadership role to guide ODOT and the OTC - in particular Metro needs to do the technical evaluation of potential ways to fund transportation improvements for the region. - we need a long term transport/transit and transportation funding vision.
Metro has two roles: one is to continue to assist in developing affordable housing below 0.6 AMI) and the other is to assist cities in providing the infrastructure needed for , especially, "middle" housing...we have little role in developing market rate single family housing. Some of the policies to spur middle housing will come as part of the UGB update, currently underway.. Policy guidance is expected later in 2024.
