I am seeking another term as Beaverton's mayor because I believe my experience and leadership are crucial in guiding our city through these challenging times and into a more stable and prosperous future. Since the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, I have been operating as a crisis response mayor, navigating unprecedented challenges and ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. From implementing Beaverton's new form of government to swiftly adapting to the ever-changing circumstances of the pandemic, extreme heat domes, and ice storms, I have been at the forefront of leading our city through crisis after crisis.
Despite the significant obstacles we have faced over the past three years, I am optimistic about Beaverton's future. However, it will require careful planning, strategic decision-making, and bold action to secure and stabilize our city for the next generation. I am committed to leading this effort, working collaboratively with community members, stakeholders, and local leaders to ensure Beaverton continues to thrive and prosper for years to come.
I am committed to promoting public accountability and transparency in city government. This includes implementing measures such as regular public meetings, accessible online platforms for information sharing, and clear reporting of government activities and decisions. By fostering open communication and providing easy access to information, we can ensure that our government remains accountable to the public it serves. Additionally, I believe in actively engaging with community feedback, conducting regular audits of city operations, and supporting whistleblower protections to uphold transparency and integrity. I actively seek individuals from different age groups, income brackets, housing situations, and historically disadvantaged background
