Town Meeting is Brookline s Legislative arm of government. It consists of 255 elected Town Meeting Members plus the members of the Select Board, and any state representative or state senator who resides in Brookline. In addition, the Town Moderator, who presides over Town Meeting, and the elected Town Clerk, who acts as secretary, are voting members. The 255 membersare elected by precinct, with 15 members elected from each of the Town s seventeen precincts. I was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and came East to school. After graduating from Yale College I came up to Harvard Law School. I held senior legal positions at The Gillette Company and with Teradyne. Nowadays I spend time practicing piano instead of law. I raised my family in Newton, and have lived in Brookline 28 years, and previously served on Town Meeting for 10. Member. I deeply enjoy life in this Town, where civic engagement is a way of life for so many residents. We have 5 daughters and 6 grandchildren. We are enriched to share our lives with them.
It's important to learn the preferences and needs of constituents and transmit them to Town Meeting and relevant Town departments. I have a responsibility to educate constituents about Town matters especially as it impacts our precinct. Traffic and pedestrian safety; uncontrolled development; parking; and drainage at Lawrence School Park are among Precinct 3 issues. I am aligned with the missions of Town Meeting Green Caucus and with Brookline By Design. The Precinct 3 caucus has discussed various ways to communicate with our constituents. I support "meet your Town Meeting members" forums to become acquainted with and support constituents.

Isaac is a current TMM in Precinct 17, and recently moved to Precinct 3. A proud graduate of Brookline public schools, he voted to make Brookline a sustainability leader in decarbonizing infrastructure, introduced legislation to assist financially vulnerable homeowners, and helped spearhead the campaign to build the High School expansion. The kid of an architect and urban planner, he embraces nuance: he knows the importance of our streetscapes, buildings, and public spaces, and supports owner-occupancy requirements for ADUs.

Isaac would be the youngest TMM in the Precinct 3 delegation, and (he believes) the only renter. Isaac studied at MIT, and if not at JP Licks or Kupels he’s available at isaacsilberberg@gmail.com or 617-943-1446.
I pledge to make myself available and actively seek out the residents of Precinct 3 to hear your opinions on issues that matter to you, and always be honest with you about where I stand.

I've hosted office hours as a TMM, and want to continue that. I always listen with open ears. I want to hear your perspective on everything from the town's structural deficit (I'm concerned) to walk signals being out (I got the one at St. Paul and Longwood repaired).
