My top three priorities are to create better paying jobs in our county, expand housing opportunities, and keep our communities safe.
I’m proud of my work on the Mental Health and Addiction Advisory Council and the Compensation Board to improve mental health services in our county, create more housing opportunities, and improve our local economy. I am also proud of my contributions to helping school board candidates across Clackamas County. Since 2019, I have managed 10 successful school board campaigns, and through that work have built lasting relationships. I have worked with districts to create places where all kids, including my own, have the opportunity to thrive. Seeing the most capable people championing quality education for future generations means the world to me. I am so thankful for the trust each candidate gave me in helping their vision become a reality.
We need policies that support enhancing housing options at the micro-level because each community can innovate how to deliver the needs of their diverse populations with cottage clusters to townhomes and create a sustainable entry to homeownership for many working-class folks. I see an opportunity to change accessibility to homeownership at the County level with tax abatement programs, homeowner assistance funds, programs like HOLTE, protected entry-level home buying options, and opening up land for purchase to develop protected-affordable home buying options. Overall, policy should be driven by a lens that allows people to have mobility and security in what homeownership provides.

It is essential that we protect hardworking families and ensure fiscal responsibility. With the skyrocketing cost of living, housing crisis and runaway tax increases we must have strong leadership that to address these everyday issues. As a business professional, mother, and community leader I understand what it takes to keep a household and business running. Today, I see a lack of focus on the things that matter most to people trying to make their way in the world. When your property taxes go up, your utility expenses go up without warning, and your incomes don’t increase at the same time; it can be debilitating. I will address the housing deficit, increasing opportunity to access quality good paying jobs, drive economic development.
I am recognized locally and nationally as being an exceptional businesswoman and leader. I have extensive business experience, while simultaneously dedicating years to various boards and nonprofit organizations that support essential functions within the county. I am the candidate that has gleaned overwhelming support from the left, center and right. I am truly a non-partisan candidate that is able to apply logic and empathy when problem solving to make sound decisions. I am proud of our County and want to see it continue to be safe, economically strong and a great place to live, work and play.
I will address the housing deficit by placing a significant focus on increasing the number of dwellings available; working with Metro and Legislation to increase the number of buildable lands for housing and industry. It is critical that we reduce the cost of home building, through; fee reduction, permitting costs, and in some cases providing incentives to buyers, builders and landowners. We must not only be at the table but leading the conversation for an effective long-term housing strategy.
