Digitizing the documents for safe keeping and historical preservation is the safest and most up-to-date method to store recorded documents. We have been scanning and digitizing the recorded documents for over 34 years. We have also scanned and saved in multiple off-site locations every recorded document backwards to 1831, the year Allen County was established.

Since property theft has recently become a problem, we have a free service for Allen County residents called AlertMe. The service alerts the property owner(s) when any new document is recorded in our office. If an unexpected document is recorded, the property owner will be alerted immediately to that filing.
