Training & Experience
Sheriff Treglia has served as sheriff of Allen County since 2017. In 1997 Sheriff Treglia was hired as a fulltime Deputy Sheriff. Sheriff Treglia worked all three shifts in the Patrol Division until 2002 when he was transferred to the Crime Task Force, where he worked for five years as an undercover officer. During this time he was also a member of the Allen County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and was promoted to Sergeant. By 2007, he was the Sergeant in charge of the deputies working within the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force and SWAT Team. In 2011, he was promoted to Lieutenant and Commander of the Task Force. In 2013, Sheriff Treglia was transferred back to the Uniform Division where he was in charge of the third shift patrol deputies.
Of the challenges faced daily, maintaining public peace and the safety of all citizens in the ever changing social, employment, and political cultures of the day are my top priority. Meeting the employment demand in the growing and constantly evolving training requirements, all while not sacrificing longstanding law enforcement traditions and values while working to adapt to new societal norms.
