Tuscarawas County Recorder
The county recorder is elected for a four-year term. The responsibilities of this office include maintaining accurate land records that are current, legible, and easily accessible to the general public, attorneys, historians, genealogists, and land title examiners. To ensure that history of ownership is established and debts or encumbrances against the property are evident, every document is carefully and accurately filed, recorded, and indexed. The county recorder has additional responsibilities that include:accounting for all fees collected for documents filedfiling reports and maintaining records related to office staff and equipmentnotifying county commissioners and township trustees of their annual duty to file zoning resolutions, maps, and amendments2025 Salary: $66,552
