The responsibilities of this office include maintaining accurate land records that are current, legible, and easily accessible to the general public, attorneys, historians, genealogists, and land title examiners. To ensure that history of ownership is established and debts or encumbrances against the property are evident, every document is carefully and accurately filed, recorded, and indexed.
