The clerk of court of common pleas serves a four-year term and is responsible for filing, docketing, indexing, and preserving court pleadings. Other duties include issuing writs to carry out court orders. Some of these writs include summons, subpoenas, and warrants to arrest and to convey to penal institutions. I feel this is a great opportunity to continue to serve my community and transition into a new and exciting career moving on from my current position as a probation officer for the New Philadelphia Municipal Court where I have been employed since April 1998.
