I have experience working with lots of age groups, from high school students, adult farmer group, teachers and administrators, Hartford Fair Board (49 years), Licking County Soil and Water Board, Washington Township 20-Year-Planning Update Board, have been chairman of church board, chairman of the elders, chairman of the trustees, Sunday School Teacher, and member and president of the Licking County Professional Agrarians, I understand what it is to work with various people to accomplish goals by working together. I know it is important to listen to various opinions to come to an agreement. I know many of the residents of Washington Township and their views on political issues, and I am willing to listen to their concerns.
The Republican platform can be broken down into three categories: National, State and local levels. Nationally, there are three areas of concern: financial issues, cultural issues, and individual liberty. The State of Ohio platform works to reflect Ohio's conservative population. The party works for continued regulatory reform, tax reform and continuing to promote pro-life policies. The local platform supports practical, well-planned growth for the county and townships, giving small business the tools for growth and job creation, cutting unnecessary regulations and using taxpayers' dollars wisely.
The Central Committee is a political body that seeks to elect Republicans to office. Political issues are discussed at the meetings, but the goal of the Central Committee is to elect qualified candidates. I have strived to do this during my term donating money and time. My experience in working with various groups has given me the opportunity to know different opinions from different groups and how to work for a common goal. I will work to continue this. I am available to Washington Township residents to discuss issues and concerns that may need to be brought to the committee. If re-elected, I will do my best to help to elect the most qualified candidates reflecting the views of the voters in Washington Township.
