The safety and financial stability of our county is an ongoing challenge and remains my utmost priority. I will continue addressing public health, wellness, diversity, safety, and economic growth by practicing sound fiscal management, infrastructure development, and working closely with local officials, residents, business leaders, farmers, educators, laborers, law enforcement, and people of all ages to lead the county into a sustainable future. Government is a group effort. We need to get along and work together with mutual respect. I listen a lot, collaborate, and truly care about people.
Having served as Marion County Commissioner for twenty-three years, I have participated in countless budget decisions. My priority has always been and will continue to be based upon what is best for the residents of our community. In addition to fiscal management at the county level, I have also served on many local boards, including Council on Aging, Historical Society, DKMM Solid Waste District, Marion Public Health, Marion County Family & Children First Council, Multi-County Correctional Center, and Regional Planning. I take being good steward of public funds very seriously.

Preparing Marion county for future growth in business and housing. Promoting our workforce and investing in infrastructure and housing development in both public and private sectors.
I prioritize by need and monetary funding. Stay within the budget. My experience being councilman for the village of Caledonia, township trustee and being self employed for 45 years, has made me fiscally responsible.
