A great challenge that Wayne County is seeing is workforce development, employee retention, and raising up the next generation of career focused individuals is vital to the success of our local economy. My background in Career Tech education and Workforce will be an asset to my leadership in the county. Working with local industry and businesses to keep finding ways to create and fill valuable positions affects everyone in the community. My focus will be on building relationships and using government resources to facilitate growth and stability.
I have been fortunate to have many different leadership opportunities. My 12 year background in construction, my 11 years teaching Career Technical Education, and serving my community as a township trustee for 11 years, are highly valuable experiences that have prepared me for this position. I understand the value of building a strong team from my years of coaching. However, my most precious and honored role is husband and father, and I will work to protect the rights of all the families in our community.

As I am in everything I do, I pledge to be open, available, and transparent in this public service role. Being engaged and listening to the people of Wayne County is something that I have been doing and will continue to do. Community participation in local government is essential to have a balanced and thriving local government.
I am in favor of our community being as self-sufficient as possible. Generating electricity for personal use makes sense for many families and businesses in Wayne County. However, taking valuable farmland out of production for large solar fields is something that I am not in favor of. I agree with the current Commissioners on their ban on solar installations of 50 Megawatts and higher.
Being a good steward of the land we have is something that has been instilled in me for generations. Striving to be resourceful and creative to find ways our land not only pays for itself but also produces income is something I encourage all Wayne County landowners to do. If we want to preserve farmland, we need to preserve our families. Keeping our children close and involved in the local agricultural opportunities here in Wayne County is essential for the next generation to do their part in passing the land, culture, and heritage to those that come next.
