I have served as a Judge in Common Pleas Court for the past five years. I have appeared and argued in the Ohio 1st, 10th, and 12th Appellate Courts, the Ohio Supreme Court, and the 6th Circuit. My experience is in both civil and criminal court.
If elected, my goals are: 1) to prioritize civil rights in our appellate court, including the protections afforded Ohio citizens under state and local law. Our federal courts no longer provide the level of protection traditionally afforded to our citizens; 2) to center the focus of appellate review on sentencing and sentencing reform; too often the sentences in our courts are inconsistent; and, 3) to build our bench: we need judges with experience on the trial courts on our Court of Appeals.
