Volunteer/Community Service I'm deeply committed to my community and progressive values. I've spent my time canvassing neighborhoods, mobilizing voters at events, and supporting campaigns nationwide to fight for the issues we believe in.
Affordable Housing: Issue: Too many Ohioans struggle to afford safe, decent housing. Action: Increase funding for the Ohio Housing Trust Fund to expand affordable housing options.

Affordable Healthcare: Issue: Rising healthcare costs burden families and businesses. Action: Invest in preventative care and mental health services: Expand access to screenings, vaccinations, and mental health resources, leading to fewer costly interventions later. Expand coverage to more low-income Ohioans and strengthen the healthcare system.

Strong Public Schools Issue: Unequal funding limits opportunities for many students. Action: Invest in the Basic Education Guarantee and Early Childhood Education for a brighter future. No School Vouchers!
As a candidate, I champion accessible voting for all. Same-day registration and drop boxes streamline participation, while fair maps, drawn by citizens, not politicians, combat gerrymandering. Early voting expansion and voter education initiatives further empower our voices!
People: Affordable housing, modernized transportation, and top-notch education & training. Businesses: Small business support, equitable resource distribution across regions, and green technologies. Communities: Vibrant living spaces and sustainable practices to attract talent and residents.
Increased Access and Equity Aspirations: Ensure all students, regardless of background, have access to quality education from K-12 to higher education. Reduce achievement gaps and promote equal opportunities for success.
This is a nuanced question with various factors to consider.

First, advocate for appropriate support without overstepping local autonomy or hindering decision-making at the community level.

Transparency and accountability: Ensure both state and local governments operate transparently and are accountable to their respective communities.

Protecting civil rights and minority interests: When local policies or actions violate individual rights or discriminate against minorities, state intervention might be necessary to ensure equality and fairness.

Ensuring fiscal responsibility: State oversight can be appropriate to prevent financial mismanagement, excessive debt, or failure to comply with state regulations or laws.
I passionately believe everyone deserves access to quality healthcare without fear of financial devastation. I support a universal Medicare option because it would guarantee coverage for all, reduce costs, and improve health outcomes. While some raise concerns about choice and wait times, we can address these through carefully designed models and collaboration. Let's build a healthcare system based on the principle that no one should face bankruptcy due to illness, and together, work towards a healthier future for all.
As a passionate advocate for our environment, I believe we must act boldly to protect our natural resources and address pressing challenges like climate change. I will prioritize clean energy solutions, robust conservation efforts, and responsible land management to ensure a sustainable future for generations to come. By collaborating with our community and implementing effective policies, we can achieve a healthier planet and a thriving community. Let's join forces to protect our environment and build a brighter future for all!
Enforce anti-discrimination laws: This includes legislation protecting individuals based on factors like race, religion, sex, gender identity, age, disability, and national origin. Provide legal aid and representation: Offer resources to individuals facing discrimination to pursue legal recourse. Implement affirmative action programs: These can aim to address historical disadvantages faced by specific groups in areas like employment, education, and government contracting. Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives: Encourage equal opportunities and representation within government institutions and programs. Fund programs to combat prejudice and bias: Support education, training, and dialogue to increase understanding and acceptance.
