Position/philosophy statement
I believe that we need a Congress that is willing to stand up to the current administration and hold them to account. I believe that we need to lower prices overall, fix our healthcare system, and reverse the damage done by this administration.

I’m an attorney, tree farmer, and health care consultant with a career focused on public policy and practical problem-solving.
For most of the last decade I worked with state agencies to improve Medicaid and other health and human services programs. That work has involved translating federal policy into practical solutions that improve outcomes and use public dollars responsibly. I provide pro bono legal assistance to disabled individuals seeking Social Security benefits.
I manage my family’s timberland and am a small business owner. I have served on nonprofit boards, been a Boy Scout leader, and taught Sunday School for many years. These experiences have prepared me to serve thoughtfully, independently, and effectively in Congress.
My top priority is restoring Congress as a fully functioning, co-equal branch of government. This includes passing budgets on time, conducting meaningful oversight of the executive branch regardless of party, and reclaiming authority that has increasingly shifted away from the legislative process. I believe that if Congress can governs more transparently and through regular order, policies will in turn be more accountable, public trust can be improved, and voters will have greater clarity about how decisions affecting their lives are made.
I will focus on policies that improve economic security and reduce everyday costs for families. This includes strengthening competition in highly concentrated industries, supporting workforce development aligned with real labor needs, and encouraging small business growth. I also believe fiscal responsibility is essential to long-term stability, so that public debt does not limit opportunity for future generations. A healthy economy should reward work and expand opportunity broadly.
Reducing polarization begins with governing responsibly. I will engage fully in committee work, support bipartisan oversight, and approach policymaking in a fact-based and respectful manner. I believe elected officials owe voters clear explanations of their decisions and a willingness to listen to differing views. In the long term, I strongly believe that democratic institutions can function best when problem-solving takes precedence over party loyalty or performative politics.
I support environmental policies that protect public health, conserve natural resources, and prepare communities for future risks. My priorities include clean water protection, responsible land use, conservation, and science-based climate resilience strategies. Effective environmental policy should be transparent, grounded in evidence, and implemented in partnership with state and local communities to ensure it delivers real and lasting benefits.

I spent most of my working adult life working blue collar jobs to make ends meet. At the same time, I was also employed by tech companies funded by some of the world's largest investment funds to work on mission critical software. As I worked in the industry, I realized quickly that to get anywhere in the industry it didn't matter how much I knew about computing, but rather it was up to how much I could be a cog to prop up their Ponzis.
In contrast, the result of my blue collar work is real. I've scanned my own packages at UPS. I worked at Martin Brower, a company responsible in making sure that McDonald's in Eastern NC and Southern VA are stocked up.
Every time I bite into a McDouble, I remember the individuals who made it possible.
John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2025 is at the forefront of what I'm looking to pass in my freshman year in Congress. However, I am but one Congressman, and policies are only one of the explicit powers given to us.
There are implicit powers such as the Power of the Podium. I want to be the voice in Washington to talk about the things we all know is happening but nobody has brought up in Congress. We all know about corruption in Washington especially within the current administration. Nobody has really talked about it outside of partisan attacks. How about how our money is slowly drained by rackets such as institutional ownership of homes? How about ICE being turned into a domestic terrorism arm of the federal government?
Our lives are strained due to corruption in Washington due to deficit spending. Inflation and increase in COL are the effects of this practice. Deficit spending has always been about kicking the can down the road for American children and grandchildren to deal with it when the debt matures.
I am that American child paying for it.
What's more is that the generation people who first enacted the deficit spending are still alive to feel its effects. Even worse is that while deficit spending used to be about critical research during the Cold War, now they go into the hands of Big Business like the tech mob under the same guise. As an Informatician, I know their claim of research is bunk and now American tax dollars are going into their scheme.
The two parties represent the two kinds of Americans: those who want to be left alone represented by the Republicans, and those who want to include everyone represented by the Democrats. Over the years, there have been passport Americans such as Elon Musk and Peter Thiel, whom we had graciously accepted into our society, wanting to bring their Apartheid ideals into our way of lives. In their world, they see people as superior and inferior.
This is not who we are as people.
I want to bring this artificial division they have created between the two Americans into the limelight. We need to cooperate to succeed, and I wish to bring those who have been misled by their lies of what we should become back into the fold.
The idea with the environment is about raising awareness and control. We have so many tools available to us to control the environment and it is really due to greed and lack of accountability that we have harmed our environment.
A good example of this was when that train derailed in East Palestine polluting the local town. Nobody was held accountable for the spill of hazardous chemicals into the environment then. If we don't even bother prosecuting outright criminal behaviors done to our environment, how are we gonna expect companies to be responsible? It goes back to corruption once again.
I will prioritize in passing legislatures holding these people responsible. The worst violations should be criminal and not civil matters.
I'm running because my problems are the people's problems; I'm not that different from everyone else struggling in today's America. I'm not put up to this by any political establishment or special interest cabal. I put myself up to this because if I fight corruption for myself, I fight it for everyone.

I will be one of the very few in Congress that knows how to write policy. I am the only candidate who has been living and working in the District. I know the issues of the District and have policy and plans on how to improve our lives.
My district needs so much. Plan is to hit the ground running with policies to improve water in multiple counties that need help. Increase access to internet and broadband to help families and students in district. Bring forward policy to increase Firestations in district which will cut home owners insurance cost in my district which helps with affordability.
There are so many ways we can help with policy. One being helping with access to affordable broadband. Affordable living by reducing insurance cost for home owners by having more firestations. Bring in federal dollars for infrastructure so we can keep local tax dollars to help improve communities.
I am a small business owner and have to work with all walks of life to have a successful business. I have people on both sides of the aisle working on my campaign and plan to keep it that way in office. I want to improve life for my constituents and will do everything in my power to do so.
I have many issues with water in my district so need to get to work on improving them. Clean drinking water is vital to a society so Environmental policy is first hand for me.
I am the only person in this primary that jas been living in this area and knows what it needs. One of my opponents has been in Maryland for last 25 years and has no clue what issues we have. We need people involved in our community heading to DC that knows what we need.
