There isn't a particular issue or negative event or experience that made me want to run and serve on the School Board. I genuinely love our schools. I'm proud to be a product of our school system. I am running to represent my generation of parents and our kids, the future students and leaders of Sumner County Schools. I have a passion for serving others and saw this as a chance to give back to this community that gave so much to me growing up.
One of my favorite quotes is "A rising tide lifts all boats". I'm a firm believer of finding a way to collaborate and work together. My time working in College Athletics and with the City of Hendersonville has prepared me for an experience like this. I personally see and feel the division in our county. It's time to find common ground and work together for the greater good. I don't take this lightly, we are talking about the future of our county.
