Training and Experience I’m a proud graduate of Perrysburg High School ‘23. After graduating, I worked as an assistant veterinary technician. I decided to further my education at the University of Toledo in Legal and Paralegal Studies (pre-law).
Volunteer/Community Service I am proud to have engaged in local activism with Youth Advocates for Change and March for our Lives. My work in both organizations enabled me to advocate for causes I am passionate about.
I am a proud supporter of public education. I want to ensure that our teachers and school system receive the funding that they deserve to provide the high-quality education Ohioans deserve. I believe that we should be investing in public work projects to create more good-paying union jobs and improve the everyday lives of Ohioans. Voters made their choice clear. They are in support of abortion and legalized marijuana. I will do everything in my power to safeguard and respect their wishes. Finally, I will work to protect and preserve the environment for future generations so that our children can enjoy all of the great beauty Ohio has to offer.
Voting is one of the most important rights and privileges we have. I want to ensure that every Ohioan has the opportunity to make their voice heard. Therefore, I believe that Election Day should become a recognized holiday. Our legislature should also work to make voting more accessible for all citizens in the state. Our judges should be as nonpartisan as possible. Therefore, party affiliations should not be listed for judicial candidates. Finally, I trust and respect Ohioans to make the right decision with their vote. As a result, I did not support the attempt to alter the threshold to 60% for constitutional amendments.
The government should begin by investing in various projects designed to help make improvements to our state. Public works projects such as building a direct route from Toledo to Columbus, parks, playgrounds, etc will help provide good-paying, union jobs to the state. The government should also work to provide tax incentives to attract more economic opportunities. I also believe partnering our local educational institutions with prospective companies to supply high-quality workers will help with this. It will also enable us to keep more Ohioans in the state rather than leaving elsewhere.
I am a proud supporter of public education. Every Ohioan deserves access to a high-quality education. All public schools should be provided with the necessary funding to sustain a quality education and experience for all students and families. Teachers are a vital component in this. To attract the best possible educators for our children, I would like to see additional funding to ensure they are paid what they deserve. With the rising costs of tuition in higher education, I believe the state should assist in promoting and supporting our state’s trade schools and community colleges.
The state and local governments should work together to come to a consensus on issues. When this is not possible, I believe that the judicial system should serve as a neutral arbitrator.
Every American should have the right to affordable and accessible healthcare. Unfortunately, the private healthcare industry has shown they will always put profit above people. Ohioans deserve better. I support the creation of a public option so families can choose what is best for them. This also allows for competition to incentivize lower healthcare and prescription costs.
Protecting and preserving our environment should be a top priority for the state. We have a responsibility to respect the ecosystems that we share with other animals and organisms. I believe in expanding protections and investing in programs that will help keep natural water clean, land healthy, and air safe. Quick solutions like fracking under state parks are not a sustainable long-term solution to our energy needs. Clean energy should be a primary focus in ensuring we move toward a better world for future generations.
The government has the responsibility to ensure that all Americans are protected against unlawful discrimination.
