My top priorities include strengthening abortion rights, fighting corruption, and keeping our communities safe. To address these, I plan to advocate for federal legislation protecting a woman's right to choose, push for laws to eliminate congressional stock trading and PAC influence, and support measures that ensure public safety while respecting the rights of law enforcement and communities. Additionally, I aim to promote economic policies that benefit working families and defend Social Security against privatization efforts.
I am committed to ensuring fair and secure elections. I support policies like promoting ranked choice voting, opposing gerrymandering by any party, and advocating for open primaries to make our election process more democratic and representative. My goal is to strengthen our democracy by making sure every vote counts and every voice is heard.
As someone who believes in a balanced and humane approach, my immigration policy focuses on securing our borders while also streamlining the process for legal immigration. I advocate for efficient processing systems that respect human dignity and support the fundamental values of our nation. This includes addressing the root causes of migration and ensuring that our policies reflect the strength and diversity that immigrants bring to our country.
My foreign policy is centered on diplomacy, global cooperation, and strengthening alliances to ensure national security. I believe in a balanced approach that combines military readiness with diplomatic efforts to address global challenges, promote peace, and support democratic values worldwide.
I'm committed to combating climate change and protecting our natural resources. This means investing in renewable energy, enforcing environmental protections, and ensuring sustainable practices in resource management to preserve the planet for future generations.
I support a single-payer healthcare system that ensures access to quality healthcare for all Americans, regardless of their financial situation. This approach aims to reduce costs, improve health outcomes, and ensure that everyone has access to the care they need.
The government plays a crucial role in ensuring no person is discriminated against. This includes enforcing and expanding civil rights laws to protect all individuals, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or disability, promoting equality and justice for every American.

-A Centrist all my life, I have experience to build vcross party coalitions to resolve: -Stopping manufacture of semi automatic/make red flag laws a societal norm -Steadfast on Women's' Right to Choose -Close and fix the border is number one, but massively increase legal immigration -stop fentanyl with military; and life in prison. -joining the police becomes a dream for kids again -flat tax to 15% and lower tax for foreign investment to 12% -narrow the income gap between workers and management -never see a homeless Vet again; get youth involved -massively expand Peace Corps and AmeriCorps -back Israel to eliminate Hamas; push for two state peace. -not let Ukraine War go nuclear. -give youth reasons to believe in future -stop Trump.
-The last election was legal. The 'steal' is a corrosive lie fueling The Cold Civil War, driven by Trump, MAGA, sadly some Republicans, by the extreme left and right and aspects of the media/internet. -Make it easy to vote but with proper registration. here. -Remove the Electoral College and the entire primary system, which fuels minorities in the left and right, keep good people from running, locks in office holders and spurs huge, dark money to keep them in office. We have become more of a plutocracy and like Teddy Roosevelt busted trusts, we need to reexamine, simplify, 'bust' the system top to bottom. This way we re establish Americans' faith in this bedrock institution of who and what we are as a people and nation.
The reader may find my view harsh, but this comes from my work in the field in India 50X, Mexico/LATAM 30X, SEAsia 50X, Africa 25X, Middle East 20X, E Europe 20X, Africa 25X, Russia & , China 20X. I know personally how desperate people are to escape hell and come to America, still, the greatest nation.

But the border needs to be closed completely until it is fixed using National Guard and technologies. However, legal immigration is our very lifeblood and we need the brains and the labor to keep going strong, Just as America was built, and I'm not forgetting slavery or Native Americans for minute...but let me be clear--I welcome hundreds of thousands of legal immigrants every year from everywhere in the world-- with our eyes forward.
-There are about 900 US military installations worldwide. Adjust down and repurpose to stop human and drug trafficking -Establish treaty with Mexico now to stop drug cartels, on a war footing -Europe and Asia should bear the cost of US support. -Re engage with Russia and China top leaders. We have the strength economically and militarily. The real possibility of nuclear war exists and is becoming accepted asa norm. No! Flash points: N Korea, Iran/Israel, Taiwan and Ukraine. It is an existential priority that we find a way forward -Stop Hamas, they are not legitimate Palestinian leaders, but push very hard for two state solution -Bring War in Israel- and civilian casualties- to an end as soon as possible - The very same in Ukraine.
Global warming is a fact and in earth time 100 years is a blink of an eye. In 300 years we won't be here, but the earth will survive without us--and along the way, famine, war, chaos. There is no question this will happen unless the industrialized countries provide leadership that hurts, means sacrifice but also creates huge new industries. Equally, we become ever more energy independent during this transition of 50, more likely 100 years to clean energy being 'just the way we live'. If we cater to extremes on both sides arguing and dithering, this balance won't be struck and this slow moving train wreck will become unstoppable. The toughest part- there are 2 billion+ emerging consumers and more to come who want what we already have.
-I supported Universal HealthCare from my first race in 1992; always thought it wrong that we didn't have it as did many advanced countries. -But costs are nuts, like the fabled $300 hammer sold to the military; I want a major deep dive why, with drugs as well. -We need a massive investment in mental health, free to all, to turn back violence, homelessness and number one killer, loneliness. -motivate youth like JFK's President's Council on Physical Fitness to cut cost burden on the system . - A lot of what ails us is in the heart and spirit. Expand programs to reduce recidivism or increase kindness in schools. -It will take many streams to build this mighty river and it all leads back to health in the mind, spirit and body.
The stronger and larger the middle class is, of all races, creeds and cultures, the more this rising tide lifts all boats. -There is a long way to go but there has been great progress since the 60's. I know, I've been in recruitment for 40 years in 40 countries and as student govt president in college won with a diversity ticket never seen since. -Trump and his hard core followers separate us. We can fight back with toughness, yet kindness and empathy. -I don't accept people of any color want permanent handouts, it demeans them and crushes the spirit. It gets back to the dignity of work. -We need to foster America as a melting pot and welcome hundreds of thousands of legal immigrants every year, from everywhere in the world.
