I am currently a Business Instructor at Northeastern Technical College and hold a Masters degree in Business Administration. Throughout my career I have had to lead and teach a wide range of students, employees and management teams and make sure they had the tools they needed to be successful. I was also a graduate from the four year Golden Leaf Leadership Program, a program that participants are tasked with helping and leading rural communities in North Carolina. I believe that my experience through this program, as well as my experience teaching and leading professionally would be a great benefit to Richmond County.
I personally believe that the county needs to focus on continuous improvement. A county that fosters growth will be a benefit to all citizens. I know that true community stability is not just meeting a single goal, but a continuous commitment to improvement. Ensuring that the county provides an environment where every citizen has the resources to thrive.
I believe that a child’s location should not determine the quality of their education or the level of their safety. Every student deserves an environment that is well funded, modern and secure. We are one county, one community and we should ensure our children are well equipped to have a flourishing future.
My primary responsibility is ensuring that our community remains a place where families can thrive, feel sustainable and plant deep roots. Economic policy that encourages prosperity is essential for a successful community. I would focus on strategic infrastructure investment, empowering the local workforce and responsible transparent fiscal management. I would also encourage the county to continue to court diverse industries and businesses, small and large. My goal would be the county that is the most competitive, business friendly and fiscally stable county in the region.
As a county we face the dual challenge of rising service demand and strained resources. This means that the county needs strategic policies that address and accommodate those in need. As a County Commissioner I wouldn't want to just manage social resources, but also improve them. I would support and propose policy that involves building a sustainable and transparent system of funding, physical infrastructure, and community partnerships.
I’m officially running for County Commissioner because I believe you deserve a seat at the table as well. I intend to make sure every citizens voice is heard and that they feel recognized. I seek to build a future where future generations don’t have to move away to find a great career path or education. Follow my social for updates, I hope for your support in this race.
