Responsibility of representing the people would be at the forefront of my priorities. I intend on doing this by creating new policies that help the people and more importantly the children of Schertz.
Data is the biggest common denominator and it is very hard to disagree with legitimate numbers or facts.
The future of Schertz, the children.

My highest priority is effective governance combined with meaningful community outreach. City Council should establish clear policy, provide responsible oversight, and ensure decisions reflect the long-term interests of Schertz. I will continue engaging residents, businesses, schools, and community organizations to better understand their concerns and priorities. Good governance requires listening, asking difficult questions, being responsible with taxpayer resources, and making decisions that maintain essential services and protect the quality of life our residents expect.
I believe productive leadership begins by seeking common ground. We may disagree on individual issues, but we can usually identify shared goals such as public safety, responsible spending, quality infrastructure, and a strong community. I approach disagreements by listening first, examining the facts, asking questions, and treating people respectfully. My responsibility is not simply to represent those who agree with me, but to consider how each decision affects Schertz as a whole and work toward practical solutions that serve the broader community.
Schertz should pursue deliberate growth consistent with the EDC’s strategic priorities, including infrastructure, business retention and attraction, economic diversification, and quality of life. Growth should strengthen our tax base without placing unnecessary burdens on existing residents or infrastructure. I also support expanding opportunities for locally owned and independent businesses and pursuing a broader variety of dining, entertainment, retail, and employment options rather than relying primarily on national chains. The goal should be balanced growth that preserves the character of Schertz while preparing responsibly for the future.
