3. What are your top 3 priorities should you be elected to Borough Council?

4. Fluoridation in public water supplies has been studied by many agencies over many years. In Oct 2024, a federal court ruled that fluoride exposure poses a hazard to human health and ordered the EPA to respond. I have experience leading teams and making tough decisions. My time spent on the Recreation Board and with the fire department have given me the insight needed to successfully navigate some of the complex issues facing the Borough.
Shillington is a wonderful community that offers impressive services to its residents. I feel these services and the standard of living need to be protected while responsibly planning for the future. I commend the current borough council for their decision to reduce our trash collection to once per week. I’m sure this was difficult decision but one that needed to be made. There is nothing that I see that leads me to believe this will be the last tough decision required of Borough Council. I feel I can be a voice of the next generation for future decisions.
Shillington boasts some amazing services, and my top priority is to responsibly maintain our wonderful emergency services. Next, I believe we need to define what the future of business in Shillington will look like and make preparations to make that vision a reality. Lastly, I feel that responsible stewardship of our park with an eye towards ensuring it is geared towards current and future uses will go a long way to creating a welcoming community space for residents to be proud of.
Science is an always evolving discipline and any government official should be willing to listen to and consider new information. Just last week the EPA announced they are going to expeditiously review this topic. I think the best way to manage this issue is to review the guidance offered by our government agencies and by the broader scientific community in order to make the best decision based on available information.
