They select the superintendent and approve appointments of staff. About half the board is elected every at each municipal election. First, I use my experience as a father of 2 current students to frame how each decision made by the board will impact our students. Additionally, I use my business and educational experience to help guide crucial financial and resourcing decisions that impact our employees and tax payers.
I have 2 daughters in the Wilson School District, and they have benefited from exceptional opportunities and experiences within the district. My goal is to help provide every child with the opportunity to benefit from a similar successful experience during their educational journey in the district.
1. Ensuring there are enough financial resources to support a continuously growing district. 2. Ensuring every student can find their niche to succeed in a large district. 3. Identifying and keeping great employees.
Wilson provides resources and courses to address all of the above. Our students are our future, and we should continue to support them and our community by offering access to these skills.
Emerging technologies are used by organizations both large and small every day. We cannot ignore them. Teaching students how to use them responsibly will only make them more successful when they take their next steps in life after leaving Wilson.
