Ross graduated from Texas A&M University School of Law while working full-time and raising a young family. Before moving to Texas, Ross gained invaluable experience working at high levels of state government for conservative policymakers. Ross also served on staff for the United States Senate, where he helped make a difference for our nation’s veterans and taxpayers.
Ross McMullin was first elected to Keller City Council in 2020 with more votes than any candidate for city office in Keller’s history. Soon thereafter, he was elected by his colleagues on city council to also serve as Mayor Pro Tem. Ross was then re-elected in 2023 with broad support.
His experience has helped Ross get right to work on the Keller City Council, where he’s voted to approve the most fiscally conservative budgets in Keller’s history—all while delivering landmark infrastructure projects and significant support for Keller’s first responders. Ross has been recognized as a thoughtful, principled leader and a relentless advocate for his community.
Being recognized as Keller’s most family-friendly City didn’t happen by chance. When we first took office in 2020, we lowered taxes, we celebrated Keller like never before–bringing Keller’s first fireworks show to Keller Town Hall. We voted for and opened Keller’s amazing Senior Center. We hosted Governor Greg Abbott as the first Governor to visit Keller. And we immediately began our work to turn the Keller Sports Park into the premier youth sports destination in North Texas.
Under my administration, we will not compromise on public safety. We must maintain the highest levels of public safety, and I remain as thankful as ever for the service and protection provided to our community by our first responders. In these trying times, we must express our gratitude to all those who risk their lives every day to keep us safe. For that reason, I am particularly proud to have the full endorsement from the Keller Fire Fighters Association.
While other government entities and politicians have collected more of your tax dollars on a year-to-year basis, we took on the fight of reforming the Tarrant Appraisal District. We know what every homeowner understands: our property tax system is broken and in need of reform.
This is also exactly why we took historic measures to actually reduce the city’s portion of your property tax bill.

United States Army (Retired)
BS in Computer Science from Slippery Rock University, MS in Computer Science from The Ohio State University, MA in National Strategic Studies from the Army War College.
Born and raised as an Army Brat across the globe. I entered the Army after College serving in various leadership positions for 30 years and retiring as a Colonel. I have served two combat tours.
I chose Keller as the place to retire, and I'm committed to making it the best city it can possibly be. I am running for Mayor because this office should be dedicated to the well-being of our citizens, rather than being used as a stepping stone to higher office.
Throughout my career, I have served in various senior leadership roles, managing personnel and budgets five times the size of the City of Keller. I am prepared to serve as your Mayor and to effectively manage our City's resources.
Ensuring adequate, timely, and comprehensive public input requires a hybrid approach:
1. Early agenda publication in plain-language summaries.
2. Using multiple channels such as social media platforms, email and website to pass information and agendas.
3. In-person and virtual comments allowing citizens who cannot be present to be heard.
4. Livestream and recording meetings for the public record and transparency.
5. Submit big dollar decisions requiring bonds or taxes to referendum.
Discrimination in any form is abhorrent. Regardless of our differences we are all neighbors and should treat each other with dignity and respect.
Policies procedures and guidelines are already in place and should include auditing programs for compliance, eliminating demographic quotas, ensuring voluntary training participation, and creating robust, safe reporting mechanisms for complaints.
I support the Jail Enforcement Model of the 287(g) program allowing local law enforcement to identify and process individuals already in custody for criminal offenses who are also in the country illegally. I do not support using City funds for any further activity.
The city requires refocusing on Infrastructure. I will prioritize the maintenance and improvement of infrastructure over expansion.
The city has the lowest paid first responders in our area. In effect, we pay bonuses to recruit and then train first responders for other cities when they leave for higher pay. I intend to increase their pay in order to improve retention and reduce turnover.
