I have lived in Brookline for 25 years and have raised my three children here. I love my Coolidge Corner community and Columbia Park neighbors. I work in community development finance, helping to finance difficult economic development, community facilities and affordable housing project through Mass.
Engaging with and hearing from precinct members is central to my role as a TMM. I have tried to engage with my neighbors and have participated in neighborhood forums when possible. I hope to do more to engage with precinct members moving forward.

I was raised in New York, moved to Boston in 1997 (Northeastern, BS-CJ '02), and I am now raising my own family here in Brookline. My wife and I moved to Brookline in 2007 and now have two sons who both go to the Florida Ruffin Ridley School. With a Criminal Justice degree from Northeastern, I started my career working in the security field within the financial services industry. Many of my roles since then (still at the same firm) were in retail customer risk management, heavily focused on combating fraud and elder abuse. I have devoted much of my personal time to coaching my sons' BREC sports teams, as well as volunteering regularly at Ridley school events. My family and I love living in Brookline!
From a fresh perspective, it’s apparent – even to us who are formerly less active -- that Brookline’s recent years had (past tense, I hope) extra divisiveness, and politics that’s too personal and too un-helpful. To this longtime “liberal/progressive” the divisiveness seems extra among some sincere advocates of similar ideologies, e.g. on racial justice/diversity, housing affordability, Schools’ budget, and supporting/improving our excellent Police. Call me naïve, but I see broad community consensus on those recently too-polarized issues. So let’s collaborate, sometimes even compromise, to benefit Brookline. I’ll emphasize constituents’ sincere, issues-driven dialogue – before/while working hard for/to improve our community.

My husband and I crossed the river to Brookline in 2018 to be near friends and quickly fell in love with Brookline’s parks, libraries, businesses, and people. I bike, skate, and bus to get around, live in a multifamily brownstone that can’t be built under today’s zoning, and am a member of Brookline for Everyone. Two years ago I got to act on my values by donating a kidney to a stranger.
The Town has stated commitments to create housing, reduce carbon impact, and make Brookline a more equitable place to live. My responsibility is to help us act on those! I also want to see the Town's fiscal health improve, to ensure our schools and services remain great (this means, among other things, having a plan for regular overrides).

Town Meeting has a huge role and responsibility in addressing many problems I've heard about from P9 residents: rental costs, transit improvements, multimodal streets, police reform. TM can recommend overrides, and fund services that can take over tasks like traffic enforcement and mental health crisis response from the police.

I'm happy to chat, especially over coffee! Email or text to get in touch.

(She/They) Endorsed by Brookline 4 Everyone. I’m a 21-year-old student at Umass Amherst. I have lived in Brookline my entire life and graduated from BHS. When I'm not at school I work as an EMT, where I get to help people on their worst days. I’m interested in making our town a better place; I want more protected bike infrastructure, more housing without changing what makes this town great, and more climate resiliency. I am a transgender, queer person, so protecting our trans youth from attacks on their self-expression is personal to me; we must come together and show that hate of all kinds has no place in Brookline. I believe that it is time for more young people to get involved in this town, as today's decisions will affect us the most.
I will be the voice of my constituents in town meetings. I will always keep their interests in mind. To that end, Young people and families are being priced out of our community. Brookline has become an economically gated community; while more housing on Harvard Street is a good idea, We are being forced to deal with this problem alone. We must distribute the load for more housing across the town. I think that Coolidge Corner is the best neighborhood and it is zoned mostly for two-family housing; if the rest of the town was zoned this way we could increase the amount of housing without a major impact on the look and feel of our town. If you run into me feel free to come up to me and chat. Text and Email also work for getting in touch.

My wife, Marian, and I moved to Brookline in 2002. She grew up here, in the house we now live in. Our two daughters did, too. They all attended FRR (then Devo) and graduated from Brookline High. I taught Social Studies and served as department chair at Brookline High from 2006 until last June, when I finally graduated as well!

I attended SUNY-Binghamton and the University of Michigan. Before starting my job at Brookline High, I taught at Newton North High School and, before that, at the University of California, San Diego.

I'm a founding partner of 4QM Teaching, LLC (4qmteaching.net) and co-author of From Story to Judgment: The Four Question Method for Teaching and Learning Social Studies (John Catt 2021)
My primary responsibility as a Town Meeting member will be to inform myself and my constituents about issues that affect us as members of the Brookline community. If elected, I'll communicate regularly with my Precinct 9 neighbors through email and social media. I'll also be available for old-fashioned in-person communication!

I've been endorsed by Brookline For Everyone and PAX. I'm grateful to both organizations for their support.
