Serving as interim Wellesley Free Library Trustee (Sept 2025 - current)
My love of libraries began in my hometown of Auburn, NY, where books transformed my very ordinary existence. Later I worked at a circulation desk at Cornell, and today I steward a Little Free Library.
This passion, and my desire to give back to Wellesley, led me to apply for an interim trustee position in 2025. I was selected and joined WFL’s web refresh team. I'm eager to deliver value with this and other strategic initiatives. During a 30-year career in tech marketing and communications, I developed listening and consensus-building skills to bring to this work.
My priorities include:
- Ensure patrons have a welcoming space to connect with their communities of interest
- Ensure WFL keeps pace with technology like AI
- Manage costs while meeting diverse needs of patrons
Relevant Experience
Served on non profit boards & led large multicultural teams across the world
From a quiet space for our children to study to a resource for lifelong learning and community center, the library is one of our town's most vital assets.
I am running for Library Trustee to ensure the WFL remains a world-class institution that balances fiscal & community responsibility with forward-thinking innovation.
My vision is a library that is:
• Community-Centered: An inclusive "third place" for every resident.
• Technologically Advanced: A leader in AI and digital resources.
• Fiscally Sound: Managed with transparency and long-term foresight.
I would be honored to earn your vote and to serve the community that has given so much to my family. Together, we can ensure the Wellesley Free Library remains a beacon of excellence and innovation.
