Justice of Peace court is where everyday people meet the justice system for the first time. It may be the only encounter they ever have with the judicial system. This encounter should not be threatening or intimidating. After more then 34 years in public service, serving families as a faith leader, pastor, chaplain, and civic leader, I’ve seen how important it is for justice to be fair, clear and respectful. I bring experience, integrity, and a steady hand to this role.
Accessibility will be the main focus to make the court professional, provide clarity, and give the average person access to services. I will make sure people understand the process, are treated with dignity, and experience a court that works efficiently and fairly for all people. I will put people first, no court is the people court.
As the county continues to grow it is imperative that we have a court system the runs effectively and efficiently. My task will be making sure cases are handled quickly and efficiently. Having a system of checks and balances in place that allow for timely delivery of information and services across the country and provide access to services and support.
Collin County is increasingly diverse: 23.3% of its residents were foreign-born during the 2020–2024 measurement period. Language differences, disabilities, limited transportation, unfamiliarity with the legal system, and work schedules can become real barriers to appearing in court.

I will work to make that experience timely, transparent, impartial, and respectful. I cannot promise anyone a particular result, but I can promise that every person will be heard, every case will be considered carefully, and every decision will be governed by the law.

Working with our technical partners to add remote accessibility. Programs to add accessibility online, which will add availability after hours. Utilizing AI programs which will enhance our eFile and online filing programs.
To handle growth, I employ a Modernization First strategy. I utilize AI-assisted software to automate administrative bottlenecks like data entry and scheduling. This technology acts as a force multiplier, preventing backlogs and freeing my staff to better serve the public. By streamlining routine paperwork, I ensure simple matters are resolved quickly, allowing me to dedicate ample time to complex rulings. This leverages innovation to scale operations, ensuring justice remains fair, accessible, and timely without overburdening taxpayers.
The most pressing issues are truancy and the surge in evictions and small claims. For truancy, I prioritize early intervention to keep youth in school, preventing future crime. Regarding civil disputes, the challenge is ensuring fair, timely resolutions amidst rising volume. I address this by utilizing my AI-driven systems to expedite scheduling and simplify filings. This ensures landlords, tenants, and small business owners receive swift justice without administrative delay.
