Investing in education, teachers and schools.

-I am a former k-12 teacher and mother. Every child should have art, music, a librarian, school nurse and social worker at school and our schools should be safe. Moving Wisconsin forward requires investing in kids and community.

Ensuring women and others oppressed groups have access to quality healthcare and are empowered to make decisions regarding their reproductive health.

-Health clinics, mental health practitioners and level one trauma centers are needed in rural Wisconsin to provide better health outcomes for our residents. From cancer screenings to contraception, healthcare is a social justice issue.

Creating opportunities for farmers and small businesses.

-I am a social entrepreneur and work with small businesses, Wisconsin farmers and growers. Wisconsin wins when we invest in small businesses and farmers.

Lowering costs for families.

-I'll work to lower costs for families and support higher wages for Wisconsin.
Seniors and families need access to safe and affordable housing. As a community, we also need pathways to homeownership. We can prevent homelessness by offering protections to renters, requiring mediation before starting eviction and offering incentives and training to help property managers maintain long-term tenant relationships.
Governor Evers has provided new district maps to end the gerrymandering that started in the 80’s. We should monitor the effectiveness of the maps and continue to push for voter reform to make it easier for people to cast a legal vote in Wisconsin.
Clean air and water are essential. I support legislation that requires corporations to recycle and limit the waste they produce. I think the Federal funding offered to replace lead pipes and the EPA’s recent investment in Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds to be key initiatives. Governor Evers has set aside money to address PFAS in our drinking water. We need to hold companies accountable for polluting our environment and get to work fixing the problem to avoid additional long-term effects.
We need to ensure funding reaches the places it is needed, like crowded classrooms, rural communities, and special education. Growing up with a younger brother with autism, I am committed to supporting special education programs and extending that support to families. I want safe schools, and empowered teachers. I will support the reversal of Act 10 to restore the teachers’ unions and adding classroom staff so teachers can focus on teaching.
