For my first term in office, I want to get things done that I have outlined in my campaign before. The very first thing I want to do is address the teacher shortage that we have in the state. We need to do better at getting more teachers jobs in the state, and that starts with getting schools with better pay and schools that have an understanding of what is going on. My mom is a teacher, so I have first-hand encounters about what is going on and how we should fix it in the future so it doesn't happen again or the problem goes away or lowers because this will be a problem that we have in the future if we do not solve it fast. I think I am the most qualified to handle this problem because as a student and a son to a parent I can see firsthand what is going on and what is needed to fix these things so we as a state can move forward and be the beacon of education for other people in other states to look to.
The most important thing I see is making sure everyone in the state has enough time and or money to make sure they can live somewhere not everyone has the same situation where it is 24 and then they can move out no, we need to make sure we give people time to get enough money to put forward so they can get the appropriate arrangements so they can live there. I would support a bill that we would allow people to have some extra time to pay rent or get money in order to live in the place and not be on the streets. This bill would help the homeless and stop price gouging from landlords who want to keep making a ton of money off of the people who live there.
I don't think we should redistrict again; we did this task already before the 2024 election we should let the people do their work and vote; there should be no more new maps this is because they are fair and they are fair enough to a point to where for the first time in a long time where people could vote, and their vote will count and allow for a competitive election there will be no automatic winners in my opinion and in this time and generation this is the best thing that could happen for us. So, in the end, no, I do not think we should re-draw the maps again for the third time in 10 years. It is perfect in my eyes, and it should stay this way for a while until we need to fix it again.
Let's give more initiatives to people that promote environmental sustainability in the state more than it has in the past. Some of the ideas that I have had are things like giving tax breaks to people who put solar panels on their houses; this would make more people want to do it so they can get a small break on the taxes at the end of the year and something else I have been working on is how people can start composting this would limit the amount of trash we see on the roads and in the landfills and we would be helping out the environment this would be a great thing we should start doing and would again help out the community around us and the plant life so the more initiatives we have the better we can make the state and that is a big thing to me that I want to get accomplished when in office.
I will make sure that those students have the necessary requirements and that nothing gets in the way of them getting those requirements because at the end of the day we need to do everything we can to me sure all students get the best education possible no matter if you have disabilities or not that is something I can promise.
