The most important issue facing Chippewa County is the proposed refugee resettlement being forced upon the county without any prior knowledge or input from Chippewa county residents. The solution is an immediate moratorium on any resettlement so that the whole issue can be brought before the residents of Chippewa county to see if they want this or not. There clearly has to be a vetting process for any foreign nationals being moved in here. A transparent process would have to be implemented before moving forward on such a project.
The second most important issue facing Chippewa county is a balanced budget. The county has done a good job with a balanced budget, and that will be one of my priorities: to continue that record moving forward.
The third most important issue facing Chippewa county is taxation. Chippewa county residents are taxed enough already and I am determined to reduce, or to at least, not increase current tax levels. I will be looking for ways to reduce tax levels.
