Climate Change.
Establish a citizen based advisory committee to develop a plan to reduce our carbon footprint to zero.
Lobby our state and federal officials to do the same.
Water resources. Protect from pollution and exportation by establishing a citizen-based advisory committee to monitor, oversee and advise the county board.
Food security at a local level. Climate change food security at all levels. We can expect that it will disrupt food availability, reduce access to food, and affect food quality.
Again; establish a citizen-based advisory committee to Identify methods by which sustainable, locally sourced food production can be implemented to respond to this existential threat.
I haven’t arrived at opinion on the upcoming budget, I will study the budget and be open to questions, ideas and concerns.
