I bring more than 20 years of nonprofit and public service experience, with a background in legal services, healthcare administration, financial operations, customer service, business ownership and community engagement. I understand the importance of listening, accountability and responsible use of resources. I care deeply about Albert Lea and believe our city deserves leadership that brings people together, supports local businesses, strengthens public safety and plans for the future. I will lead with integrity, compassion and respect.
My top three priorities will be economic development, public safety and fiscal responsibility. We need to support existing businesses while attracting new ones and creating reasons for younger people and families to stay. We must maintain strong public safety services and make responsible decisions with taxpayer dollars while protecting Albert Lea’s quality of life and affordability.
I will make transparency and accountability part of how city government operates. I will communicate clearly about decisions, budgets and priorities, make information accessible, and encourage open dialogue. I will expect ethical conduct from myself and city leadership, follow established policies and laws, and welcome questions and constructive feedback. Trust is earned through honesty, consistency and accountability.
I will listen to residents where they are—through community conversations, neighborhood outreach, meetings, surveys and direct communication. I will seek input before major decisions and make it clear how resident feedback influenced outcomes. I want residents to feel comfortable raising concerns, sharing ideas and asking questions. Good government works best when people feel heard, respected and included.
Public safety starts with strong, responsive services and a partnership between residents, law enforcement, first responders and the city. I will support community policing that builds trust, encourages communication and treats every resident with dignity and respect. I will work to ensure public safety resources are used responsibly and that Albert Lea remains a safe, welcoming community for residents, businesses and visitors.
