Giving back to the community that built me is at the heart of why I’m running. I’m a proud Willis High graduate and a devoted dad with a student in our classrooms. Combining 10+ years in project management and security infrastructure with honest leadership and a parent’s protective perspective- I will focus on keeping our campuses safe, empower student success, and ensure honest public service.
My background includes over a decade in project management, procurement, and security infrastructure oversight. As an established local business operator and Willis dad, I combine safety expertise with true fiscal accountability. I lead with full transparency and practical problem-solving to ensure our schools are safe, well-resourced, and focused on student achievement.
One key priority I see is the opportunity to stay ahead of evolving safety challenges through fortified campuses and proactive student education. The Board must back modern safety protocols and preventative programs that teach clear expectations and personal accountability. By pairing physical security with positive student guidance, we ensure our schools remain safe, prosperous places to learn.
The Board must advocate for competitive compensation, protect unencumbered planning time, and reinforce secure campuses so educators feel safe and valued. True leadership means listening directly to our teachers, respecting their classroom expertise, and leading with open collaboration. When we support and protect our educators, our students and district thrive.
Rapid growth, campus safety, economic shifts, and evolving state policies are our biggest challenges. I support advanced security, long-range facility planning, and strict fiscal oversight to protect tax dollars. Proactive planning ensures Willis ISD remains financially responsible, keeps our campuses secure, and delivers the high-quality education our children deserve.
Our schools prepare the future of society. They can prepare future voters through government coursework, student leadership, and community service. The Board can champion these efforts by supporting civic projects and modeling respectful, transparent public governance. When district leadership demonstrates honest accountability, we inspire our children to participate positively in our democracy.
I’m a husband, father of two, and local business owner. My family has called Willis ISD home since 2017, and my wife served the district for nine years as an educator and principal. I built my business from the ground up, and I’m running to bring that experience, accountability, and a genuine desire to serve our students, teachers, and community.
As a business owner, I have decades of experience with budgets, personnel, strategic planning, accountability and making difficult decisions. I’ve built a successful company from the ground up and understand the responsibility of leadership. My family’s deep connection to Willis ISD also gives me valuable insight into our schools and community.
Our greatest opportunity is improving student achievement while supporting the teachers doing the work every day. The Board should set clear, measurable goals, ensure resources are aligned with those goals, regularly review progress, and hold district leadership accountable for results—while allowing educators the freedom to do their jobs.
Teachers need strong curriculum, safe classrooms and the freedom to teach. We should trust them to recognize when a student needs a bridge to reach the standard and give them the tools and flexibility to provide it. The Board should support strong curriculum, discipline and resources while listening to those who know the classroom best—our teachers.
Growth will be one of Willis ISD’s biggest challenges. More students mean greater demands on classrooms, teachers, transportation, facilities and taxpayers. I will support responsible long-term planning that anticipates growth, prioritizes classroom needs and student outcomes, and ensures every dollar is spent wisely.
Texas standards already emphasize government, the Constitution, voting, civic responsibility and differing viewpoints. The Board can support this by ensuring strong curriculum, resources and teachers that prepare students to think critically, understand their rights and responsibilities, and become informed, engaged citizens.
