I am a third generation rancher in Natrona County and I started an oilfield construction business in 2001. I have served on numerous boards and commissions over the years. I served on the Natrona Co Fire Protection District for 14 years as well as a Natrona Co Commissioner for 16 years. Over the years I have gained valuable knowledge about business and the private sector as well as the knowledge of how government works and the Legislative process. Having lobbied for the WY Stock Growers Assn, th WY County Commissioners Assn and the WY Business Alliance, this has given me the background and knowledge of how to get things done. I’m running because I did not like the way the Legislature performed last year lead by the Freedom Caucus.
I am not in favor of a 50% reduction in property taxes. The citizens of Wyoming want the services that those taxes pay for. If passed, the Legislature will have to address some form of backfill.
I do not support the sale of the Federal lands but I’m not opposed to exchanges. Exchanges could be a benefit to the public. I think Wyoming should have more of a say in the management of the Federal Lands.
The Legislature just went through recalibration. This should have addressed the funding issue. I believe we need good teachers for our youth that are well compensated.
It depends on the services. It is appropriate to help our citizens cope with many issues.
